Chronicles 5: 13 & 14
"It came to pass, as the trumpeters and singers
were as one, to make one sound to be heard in
praising and
thanking the Lord; and when they lifted up their
voice with
the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music,
and praised
the Lord saying, For He is Good; for His mercy
endureth for
ever: that then the house was filled with a cloud,
even the
house of the Lord; so that the priest stand to
minister by
reason of the cloud: for the glory of the Lord had
filled
the house of God."
Music styles used to usher in the presence of God
include
Praise and Worship, Black Gospel, Contemporary
Gospel, Southern
Gospel, and Traditional Hymns. This eclectic
selection is
designed to allow every segment of the congregation
to engage
in worship.
The Music and Worship Arts ministry consists of the
following
area's of interest.
Living
Proof Choir
The LPC is comprised of 45 voices that
lead worship in weekly services, holiday presentations, and special
events. The Choir's purpose is to make their praise to God glorious
(Psalms 66:2) through excellence in music. Rehearsals are held every
Sunday. This
group is open to any member of Church at the Brook at least 15 years old
who has a desire to openly express worship unto God.
Living
Proof Band
The LPB is comprised of a variety of
instrumentalists who worship God with their musical gift. Rehearsals are
held every Sunday, as well as, the second and fourth Tuesday of each
month. We desire to add an orchestra in the near future. If you are
looking for a place to use your talent, Church at the Brook may be the
place for you.
Media
The Media Department
offers audio and visual ministry at each service. This dual
responsibility includes not only adjusting an audio mix but also
presenting music and sermon outlines so that everyone can understand and
follow what is going on in each service. We are always looking for
dedicated people to serve in this ministry. If you like to mix audio or
create visual aids, this is a place for you.
Drama
The goal of the Drama
Ministry is to present the Gospel in a real life demonstration. We
produce two or three Drama Presentations each year including and Easter
Drama Lamb of God, Heaven's Gates and Hell's Flames, and a Children's
musical, Little People with a Big Praise. If drama is your way of life,
this may be a ministry for you!
